The Quickstep is one of the five International Style Standard Ballroom Dances. The movement of the dance is fast and powerfully flowing, sprinkled with syncopation. The upbeat melodies that Quickstep is danced to make it suitable for both formal and informal events.
The Rumba originates back to Cuba in the late 19th century. It refers to a style of Ballroom dancing included in DanceSport categories of competition. Originally, the term Rumba was used as a synonym for the word "party" in northern Cuba.

The Samba refers to a style of ballroom dancing included in DanceSport categories of competition. It is a rhythmical dance with elements taken from the Brazilian Samba, its originator. The history of the dance began in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century.
The Schottische is a partnered country dance, that apparently originated in Bohemia. It was popular in Victorian era ballrooms as a part of the Bohemian folk-dance craze and left its traces in folk music of countries such as Argentina, Finland, France, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Brazil, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, and the United States, among other nations.
Sequence dancing is a form of dance in which a preset pattern of movements is followed, usually to music which is also predetermined. Sequence dancing may include dances of many different styles such as Ballroom Dances, which move round the floor, as well as Line, Square and Circle dances.
Showdance is a type of Ballroom Dance event. May be danced in two divisions: Classic Showdance (Ballroom) or South American Showdance (Latin). Showdance performed competitively at Amateur and Professional levels throughout the world in both federations World DanceSport Federation(WDSF) and World Dance Council (WDC).
